Availability and booking of all tourist destinations or very close. Friendly good English speaking staff. WiFi and use of house computer. In the center of (small) Krabi with shopping, Good seafood restaurants and other services also very close. Direct connection from the airport with a shuttle bus to the guesthouse. As staff is Muslim: no alcohol or non-halal food for sale but is allowed to be consumed there. Cheap Heineken beer for sale a few meters away. Can be recommended for backpackers for one or two nights. Lots of books and Lonely Planet travel guides available to study. Staff has boat and transport available. (A 79 year old Dutchman, living Melaka (Malaysia) survived it very well
For that money one cannot have high expectations of luxury. It is not a hotel to spend the day in, but who does that? There are cheaper hotels around than B300/day. A bit noisy at night and the bed is not very comfortable (will be improved). Under the bed not cleaned and plumbing is primitive and sometimes not working but that is very usual in that sort of places in Thailand.
